Additional Services

At Bronte Village Animal Hospital, we believe that a healthy outside starts with a healthy inside. Our holistic approach to veterinary care takes into consideration the complete well-being of pets, from nutrition to illness.

We offer a wide range of additional veterinary services to provide the best possible care for your pets.

Nutritional and Supplement Counselling

Nutrition is a science. Who better to guide you through the five to seven diet changes your pet will experience over their lifetime than a veterinarian?

We are not just interested in the macronutrients; we are knowledgeable about the micronutrients that prevent premature aging in our pet population.

We can recommend food that will meet your pet’s nutritional needs, which may also include supplements from our healthy pet product line.

In-House Laboratory for Diagnostic Services

Our imaging equipment is an important component of our internal medicine services.

Digital radiography allows our clinic to partner with a Board Certified Specialist who will review your pet's x-rays without being on-site. The exceptional quality of the radiographs can provide valuable information for pets who are visiting our hospital with symptoms varying from urinary issues to vomiting.

Dr. McGrath is also able to provide ultrasound services to our patients. Ultrasound enhances our diagnostic abilities in areas including heart and organ function, blood flow, and identifying bladder stones.

We also have access to a reference laboratory for when more specialized testing is required.

Pet Microchipping

We’ll microchip your pet in a quick, safe procedure so that if they are ever lost you’ll easily be able to find them again! Shelters like the humane society routinely scan the animals brought in to see if they are someone’s missing pet, which allows pets and owners to be reunited as soon as possible.

Feline Friendly Appointments

Cats tend to get more stressed when visiting the vet than dogs do.

As a Cat Friendly Practice® we have specialized training and education for how to best approach and care for cats, which allows us to provide a feline-friendly experience to help cats feel more at ease – ultimately improving their overall quality of care.

This includes things like setting up examination rooms to be more welcoming and calming for cats, providing a separate waiting area for cats and dogs, and handling cats in specific ways to reduce their anxiety.

Feline Boarding

We understand that it is hard to find a place to board your cat and the only places you can find keep your cat confined in a cage. We have just the solution for you!

Our newly renovated cats-only, cage-free boarding facility can comfortably accommodate up to 3 cats from the same family! Your cats are free to roam, interact with each other and enjoy the comforts of a "home-away-from-home". They will be cared for by experienced clinic staff and with the clinic right downstairs you can rest assured that your cats are in the best hands possible.

Space is limited. Call today to reserve or schedule a tour.
